During the statewide stay-at-home order in the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic, I was still hard at work for clients — I didn’t quit working because of COVID, I found new ways to help the people I work with. One of the projects that came out of that season was a new site for EastSide Local Eatery, a vegan cafe in Charlotte, NC.
This build was a genuine partnership: design by Paragon Studios, built by me at Queen City Rent a Geek. It was a fun project to kick off, and it was a pleasure working with the EastSide Local Eatery team — building this site is actually what turned me on to vegan food.
The focus was on promoting a clean, vegan lifestyle through the site’s look and feel, while making it effortless for customers to browse the menu. For ordering, we added a link that sends customers to a third-party platform to place their order for pickup or delivery.
