Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of qcrentageek.com and any services provided by QC Rent a Geek, LLC (“we,” “us,” “our,” “the Company”). By using our website or engaging our services, you agree to these Terms.
1. Who we are
QC Rent a Geek, LLC is a technology services company providing website design, development, hosting, remote and onsite technical support, and related digital services to individuals and businesses. QC Rent a Geek, LLC also designs and develops software products, including the InspectorGeek mobile application, available separately at inspectorgeek.qcrentageek.com and governed by its own terms.
2. Services
We provide services including, but not limited to:
- Website design, development, hosting, and maintenance
- Remote technical support
- Onsite technical support in our serviced areas
- Search visibility and Google Business optimization assistance
- Software and application development
The specific scope, deliverables, and cost of any engagement will be outlined in a proposal, quote, or invoice provided to you before work begins. These Terms apply in addition to, not in place of, any signed proposal or agreement specific to your project.
3. Payment
Payment is due at the time services are rendered, or according to the schedule outlined in your accepted proposal or invoice. We accept payment through Stripe and other payment methods we may make available. Late payment may result in a pause of ongoing services, including hosting or maintenance, until payment is received.
4. Refunds
All service sales are final. Please refer to our Refund and Returns Policy for full details.
5. Client responsibilities
You agree to provide timely, accurate information necessary for us to complete your project, including access credentials, content, and feedback where needed. Delays caused by incomplete or delayed client input may affect project timelines.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any account credentials we provide you, and for any activity that occurs under your accounts.
6. Intellectual property
Upon full payment for a completed website or deliverable, ownership of the final work product transfers to you, excluding any third-party assets, licensed themes, plugins, stock imagery, or tools that remain subject to their original licenses. We retain the right to showcase completed work in our portfolio unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Software products developed by QC Rent a Geek, LLC, including InspectorGeek, remain the property of QC Rent a Geek, LLC unless otherwise specified in a separate agreement.
7. Hosting and maintenance
For clients on an ongoing hosting or maintenance plan, services continue on a recurring basis until cancelled. You may cancel future billing at any time by contacting us; cancellation does not refund any period already paid for and may result in the site becoming inaccessible if hosting is not transferred elsewhere.
8. Third-party services
Our services may involve or integrate with third-party platforms (such as Stripe, Google Analytics, booking or point-of-sale systems, and others). We are not responsible for the availability, performance, or policies of third-party services outside our control.
9. Limitation of liability
We work carefully to deliver reliable services, but we do not guarantee that any website, application, or system will be uninterrupted, error-free, or immune to third-party issues (such as hosting outages, browser changes, or third-party platform changes). To the fullest extent permitted by law, QC Rent a Geek, LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services or website.
10. Termination
We reserve the right to decline, pause, or terminate services for any client, at our discretion, including for non-payment, abusive conduct, or use of our services for unlawful purposes.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Louisiana, without regard to conflict of law principles.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of our website or services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
