carolinaspossystems.com

I built and continue to host, manage, and update the website for Carolinas POS Systems — and it’s one of the more ongoing relationships in my portfolio. Beyond the site itself, I regularly work with the owner to build point of sale menus for his clients, so this is a business I stay closely connected to, not a one-time build.

Two audiences, one site
The owner is a point of sale solutions provider — he consults with businesses to match them with the right POS system for how they operate. But not every business needs a full system; some just need a simple payment device. Rather than force both types of customers through the same messaging, we built the site to speak to each directly, with dedicated pages explaining what full POS consulting looks like versus what a smaller shop can expect from a standalone payment device.

Businesses We Serve
He wanted a page that made it immediately clear which types of businesses he works with, so I built out a Businesses We Serve page, using AI-generated icons for each business type — a fast way to give the page a clean, consistent visual identity without commissioning custom illustration for every category.

Keeping POS Choices current
The site also includes a POS Choices section, which we treat as a living part of the site rather than a set-it-and-forget-it page. As the owner evaluates point of sale systems and forms opinions on which ones hold up, I add or remove systems from that section to keep it reflecting his current recommendations.

Today
I continue to host, manage, and maintain the site, and I regularly build out POS menus for his clients as an ongoing part of our working relationship.
